Pakistan: 15 Sikh pilgrims die in van-train collision

Passenger van, carrying 25 people, collided with train near Lahore city, railway official says

LAHORE, Pakistan (AA) - At least 15 killed when a passenger van collided with a train near the northeastern Punjab province on Friday, said a railway official.

The van was carrying a total of 25 Sikh Pilgrims when it crashed with Shah Hussain Express at 52 number railway crossing in Sheikhupura, near Lahore, the provincial capital, said Qurat ul Ain, a spokeswoman of the country's railway authorities, in a statement.

Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of the accident and offered condolences to the victims' families.
