ANKARA (AA) - Pakistan’s Embassy in Turkey has condemned Saturday’s Israeli airstrikes which destroyed Anadolu Agency's office in the Gaza Strip.
"We strongly condemn the Israeli attack against Anadolu Agency’s office in Gaza," the embassy said in a statement on Sunday.
"Such cowardly tactics by occupation forces -- whether in Palestinian Territories or Indian-Occupied Kashmir -- will fail to hide their atrocities against civilians," it added.
Israeli warplanes hit the building where Anadolu had its office with at least five rockets after warning shots, Anadolu Agency’s correspondent in Jerusalem reported.
No injuries or death were reported.
A host of international news agencies have also issued statements of solidarity with Anadolu Agency and called on the international community to stand against attempts to stifle freedom of speech.
