DAVOS, Switzerland (AA) - The Palestine issue is at the center of a resolution of issues in Middle East, Turkey's Foreign Ministry said Wednesday

"Today, the needs for Palestinian state on the basis of the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital -- more than ever," Mevlut Cavusoglu said at an event on Middle East and North Africa during the 50th session of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Mentioning that situation de-escalated in Libya and Syria with cease-fire calls of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, he reiterated that Ankara’s efforts will continue to ensure safety and stability in region.

Cavusoglu also held separate meetings with UN's Special Envoy on Syria Geir Pedersen and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
