RMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – The Palestinian Supreme Court on Tuesday temporarily suspended attorney-general Ahmad Barak.
The court issued a decision, saying that Barak was “illegally” appointed to his post.
“The record of the placement was illegal due to incomplete quorum," the court said.
Tuesday’s court decision came after a Palestinian lawyer filed a lawsuit against Barak’s appointment as the attorney-general.
Barak was appointed to the post in April 2016.
