GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - An explosion ripped through a house in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to Palestinian authorities.
“One person was injured in the blast that took place in al-Bureij refugee camp,” Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said in a statement.
Iyad al-Buzm, a spokesman for the Hamas-run Interior Ministry, confirmed the blast, saying security forces have sealed off the scene of the explosion.
“Relevant agencies are examining the nature of the explosion,” he said.
It remains unclear what had caused the blast.
