JERUSALEM (AA) – One Palestinian was killed Friday by Israeli police in the West Bank, according to authorities.
The unidentified 28-year-old was killed when Israeli police opened fire Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samiri said in a statement.
The victim, who was a resident of the Kafr 'Aqab district of East Jerusalem, allegedly stabbed an Israeli policeman, the statement said.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health verified the victims was killed by Israeli police.
Authorities have begun an investigation into the killing.
