PKK bombing kills wife of soldier in SE Turkey

HAKKARI, Turkey (AA) - A roadside bombing by the PKK terrorist orgnization killed the wife of a soldier in the southeastern Turkish province of Hakkari, the local governor’s office said Tuesday.

An eleven-month-old infant was also severely wounded, according to the official statement.

The bomb exploded when a car carrying the civilians passed through the Yuksekova district.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the death of some 40,000 people.
