MARDIN, Turkey (AA) - A YPG/PKK terrorist on Tuesday surrendered to Turkish security forces near the Syrian border.
The Mardin Provincial Gendarmerie Command unit convinced him to drop arms.
The terrorist joined YPG/PKK in 2015 and was accused of "membership in an armed terrorist organization".
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. The YPG is its Syrian offshoot.
