SANLIURFA (AA) - Turkish security forces captured a PKK/YPG terror suspect in the southeastern Sanliurfa province on Monday, security sources said.
The suspect was nabbed in the Suruc district along the border with Syria after the security forces were tipped off that the suspect would attempt to cross to Turkey from Syria.
The terror suspect was later referred to the court house, said sources on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey as well as the U.S. and the EU. In its terror campaign against Turkey for more than three decades, over 40,000 people have been killed, including women and children.
