ISTANBUL (AA) - A plane carrying up to 20 people crashed Sunday in Coffee County, Tennessee, authorities said.
“Initial reports suggest 16-20 people were on board,” the Tennessee Highway Patrol said on X.
“Some have been airlifted to nearby hospitals,” it said, adding “this is an active scene.”
Lyle Russell, a spokesperson for the City of Tullahoma, where the crash occurred, said there were some minor injuries but no fatalities, CNN reported.
At approximately 12.15 pm local time (1715GMT), a plane crash occurred at Tullahoma Regional Airport, Russell told CNN.
“The scene is being secured by local authorities while FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) officials are en route to continue the investigation,” he added.
