Police seize over 405 kg of heroin in Turkey

Drugs captured in operations in Hakkari, Van provinces, says interior minister on Twitter

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish police seized some 405 kilograms (892 pounds) of heroin, the country's interior minister announced on Friday.

The drugs were seized in anti-narcotic operations conducted by Turkish police in the eastern Van and southeastern Hakkari provinces, Suleyman Soylu said on Twitter, posting photos of the contraband.

Police teams arrested two suspects in the operations, added Soylu, who congratulated officials for the successful operations.​​​​​​​
