ANKARA (AA) - Belgian winger Thorgan Hazard temporarily moved Tuesday to the Netherlands' PSV Eindhoven from German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

"Winger Thorgan Hazard will spend the rest of the season on loan with PSV," according to the Dutch Eredivisie club's statement.

Hazard, 29, is pleased to join PSV before the January 2023 transfer window closes.

"It is a fine club with a fine shirt," he said and added he cannot wait to compete with the Dutch title contenders.

General Manager Marcel Brands praised the new recruit.

"Thorgan is a versatile player who can be deployed in multiple positions up front. And he brings a lot of international experience," said Brands.

Hazard played for Borussia Dortmund for three and a half years and won the German Cup and a German Super Cup.

He tallied 18 goals and 21 assists in 122 matches for Borussia Dortmund.

Separately, Hazard has nine goals in 47 caps for Belgium and played for the Belgian national team in the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup tournaments.

Thorgan is the younger brother of Eden Hazard, who plays for Real Madrid.
