ANKARA (AA) - Qatar and the Republic of North Macedonia held talks to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral military relations, the Qatari state news agency QNA reported.
Qatari Defense Minister Khalid Al-Attiyah met Tuesday with his Macedonian counterpart Slavjanka Petrovska in the capital Skopje where they reviewed means of enhancing military cooperation along with other issues of mutual interest, QNA said.
Doha and Skopje established diplomatic relations in 1996.
Since then, top officials from both countries have exchanged visits and signed a host of agreements in the political, economic, health and education fields.
