ISTANBUL (AA) - The world's 250 retailing giants' total income reached $4.74 trillion as of 2018, global audit and consulting firm Deloitte said in a press release on Monday.

Top retail traders' earnings increased by 4.1% on an annual basis, according to the report Global Powers of Retailing 2020.

The U.S. dominated the top 10 companies in the list, with seven retail traders -- Walmart, Costco, Amazon, the Krooger, Walgreens, the Home Depot Inc. and CVS Health. Walmart's income was $514.4 billion.

Two German firms -- Schwarz and Aldi Group -- and one, Tesco, based in the U.K., were also counted among the top 10.

This year, two Turkish market chains -- BIM and A101 -- remained on the top 250 list, said the press release.

Companies on the list earned an average $19 billion.

Hande Ozdiler, an expert in Deloitte Turkey, said that despite the economic slowdown in Turkey in 2018, two Turkish firms remained among the top 250 retailers.
