MOSCOW (AA) - Russia said on Wednesday that its joint military exercises with Belarus, the Zapad-2025, ended after running since Sept. 12.

In a statement, the Defense Ministry said Russian and allied forces that took part in the drills have started returning to their permanent deployment locations.

The maneuvers featured extensive use of unmanned aerial vehicles, ground robotic systems, and electronic warfare equipment.

According to the ministry, more than 100 representatives of the military-diplomatic corps and foreign guests from 55 countries attended the active phase of the exercises at the Mulino range.

“Twenty-five foreign delegations attended the exercises, with sixteen states sending observers, six dispatching military contingents to participate in events,” it added.

The training involved about 100,000 troops and 10,000 units of weapons and equipment, conducted across 41 ranges in Russia and Belarus as well as in the Baltic and Barents seas, the ministry said.
