MOSCOW (AA) - Russia claimed to have captured another village in Ukraine.
The Russian forces took control of the settlement of Sosnovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Defense Ministry statement said on Thursday.
It further said that aviation, drone, rocket, and artillery forces struck an Israeli-made multi-functional RADA radar station of Israeli production, warehouses of missile and artillery weapons and military-technical equipment, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and “foreign mercenaries” in 147 areas.
Ukraine responded with air raids, the ministry said, adding Russian air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs, four US-made HIMARS rockets, a long-range Neptune guided missile, and 166 fixed-wing drones over the past day.
Ukraine has yet to comment on Russia's claims, and independent verification is challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
