MOSCOW (AA) - Russia claimed on Tuesday that its forces have taken control of the village of Dyliivka in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region.
The Defense Ministry in a statement praised the Southern group of forces for carrying out the operation as a result of which the settlement went under its control.
The ministry also said it carried out a group strike using aviation, artillery and drones against Ukraine's ports, workshops for assembling attack drones and points of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries.
Over the past day, Russian air defense systems shot down 2 US-made JDAM guided bombs, a Neptune guided long-range missile and 168 drones, it said.
Ukraine has yet to comment on Russia's claims, and independent verification is challenging due to the ongoing armed conflict.
