ISTANBUL (AA) - Russia detained a Greek oil tanker sailing under the Liberian flag after it departed from the Estonian port of Sillamae, Estonia said Sunday.

"Today Russia detained a Greek tanker, Green Admire, as it was using a sea route agreed by Estonia, Finland and Russia," the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The statement said that following the incident, the Estonian government will redirect traffic to and from the port exclusively through Estonian waters to prevent similar incidents in the future.

"Russia continues to behave in an unpredictable manner. Our Allies have been informed," Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said in the statement.
