Russia says 1 killed, 4 injured in Ukraine's attack on residential building

Rescuers clear rubble of residential building in city of Tokmak in Russia-controlled part of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region

MOSCOW (AA) - At least one person was killed and four others injured in Ukraine's attack on a residential building in Russia-controlled part of the Zaporizhzhia region on Friday.

"As a result of a Ukraine's strike on an apartment building in the city of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region, there is one dead. The Emergency Situations Ministry continues to work on clearing the rubble, search activities are underway," the Investigative Committee said in a statement.

Four other people were injured, and the number of casualties may rise, the statement added.

Investigators believe the building was hit with foreign-made controlled aircraft bombs.
