Russian Foreign Ministry evacuated over bomb threat

Inspectors checked building but no explosive was found

MOSCOW (AA) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has been evacuated after an anonymous phone call about an alleged bomb threat, the country’s official TASS news agency reported on Thursday.

About 40 people evacuated the ministry's building after the call, the news agency reported citing an anonymous source from Foreign Service.

The call came after the working hours when most of the staffers had left the building, the source added.

Later, inspectors checked the building but no explosive material was found.

Last year Russia suffered from a range of anonymous bomb calls. More than 4000 objects in about 215 Russian cities got the bomb calls resulted in evacuation of more than 2,6 million people.
