ANKARA (AA) - Two people died when a helicopter crashed early Tuesday in the Tambov region of Russia, about 480 kilometers (298 miles) southeast of Moscow, local media reported.
Citing the emergency services, Russia’s official TASS news agency reported a privately-owned helicopter went missing on Monday. Residents of the Kirsanovsky district found the wreckage.
TASS said contact with the helicopter was lost at 8.35 p.m. local time (1735GMT) on Monday.
Fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the area.
