RABAT, Morocco (AA) - Security forces in Morocco prevented demonstrators Saturday from protesting recent attacks on Iran by the US and Israel.
Authorities did not allow a rally to take place in the national capital of Rabat that was organized in front of the parliament building, where protesters had planned to denounce US and Israeli actions against Iran and show solidarity with Tehran.
Before dispersing, demonstrators chanted slogans such as "The US is the enemy of the people, enough with the wars" and "No to Zionists and Americans."
Similarly, in the northern city of Tangier, security forces blocked a planned demonstration expressing support for Iran.
Crowds in city were dispersed before the protest could take place.
