BRATISLAVA, Slovakia (AA) - Slovakia announced Monday that it had decided to expel three Russian diplomats from the country.
The diplomats at the Russian Embassy in the capital Bratislava violated the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Juraj Tomaga told official news agency TASR, but gave no further details.
He said the diplomats would have to leave the country within 72 hours, adding that the police would hold a press conference on Tuesday on the matter.
The announcement came amid week three of Russia's war on Ukraine, casting a shadow over its relations with the European Union and its member states such as Slovakia.
