MADRID (AA) - A Spanish fighter jet on Monday crashed into the sea off the country’s southeastern coast, killing the pilot.
According to local authorities, a C-101 type jet of Spanish air force crashed into the sea off the coast of La Manga del Mar Menor coast in Murcia.
In a statement, the Spanish Defense Ministry said the pilot was killed in the incident.
In videos shared on the internet, it is seen that the pilot did not use the ejection seat when the plane crashed.
In another incident on Sunday, seven people were killed when a light plane and a helicopter collided in the air in eastern Mallorca island.
