ANKARA (AA) - Germany's economic sentiment came in at minus 34.3 in May, beating the market estimate of minus 42, according to an economic research institute on Tuesday.
The German ZEW Economic Sentiment Index improved from minus 41 a month ago, the institute said.
Despite a slight rise, May's reading remains at a relatively low level, ZEW President Achim Wambach noted in a statement.
"The experts assume that the situation will continue to deteriorate, but with less intensity," Wambach added.
