KHARTOUM, Sudan (AA) - A Sudanese delegation on Thursday arrived in Turkey on a two-day official visit.

The delegation is headed by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, first vice president of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council.

He is joined by top officials, including Agriculture Minister Eltahir Harbi, Energy Minister Jaden Ali Obaid, Livestock Minister Hafiz Abdel Nabi, Transport Minister Mirghani Hamad and Urban Development Minister Abdallah Yahia.

"We share with Turkey historical relations and weighted interests, we look forward for more developed relations between our countries," Dagalo wrote on his Facebook account.

On May 19, Dagalo received an official invitation to visit Turkey upon his meeting with Turkish ambassador to Khartoum Irfan Neziroglu.

The relations between the two countries have developed since 2002 when the Justice and Development (AK) Party in Turkey took power with a view to strengthen ties with African countries.

Both Turkey and Sudan have signed many bilateral agreements in many fields and sectors, including education, agriculture, commerce, mining, health services, energy excavation and others.
