TRIPOLI, Lebanon (AA) – At least six people were killed in multiple suicide bombings in eastern Lebanon near border with war-torn Syria on Monday.
Four bombers blew themselves up at 4:00 am local time in Qaa, a predominantly Christian village, close to the Syrian border, according to Lebanese security sources.
“Five people were killed and 15 others injured, including military personnel in the attacks,” a security source said.
A medical source, however, put the death toll at six.
“Thirteen people were also injured in the attacks,” the source told Anadolu Agency.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attacks.
