Summer transfer window closed for top European leagues

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Keylor Navas, Yevhen Konoplyanka highlighted final day signings

ANKARA (AA) - The summer transfer window closed for the football clubs in France, Germany and Spain on Tuesday.

The winter transfer window will be open on Jan.1-30, 2020.

On the last day of the transfer window, Ukranian Forward Yevhen Konoplyanka joined Shakhtar Donetsk from German side Schalke 04 and the 29-year-old will play for Donetsk team until June, 2022.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has joined Paris Saint-Germain for a four year contract.

The French team will pay €15 million ($16.4 million) transfer fee to the Spanish club.

Meanwhile, PSG's French goalkeeper Alphonse Areola joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan.

Italian team Roma transferred Arsenal's Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a season-long loan deal.

The Italian club said Mkhitaryan inked a one-year deal, keeping him in Stadio Olimpico until June 30, 2020.

Czech forward Patrik Schick, 23, joined RB Leipzig on a season-long loan from Roma, with an option to buy.

The Czech forward will wear the number 21 jersey at Leipzig.
