ATHENS (AA) – Sweden is open to sending some of its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, said the country's defense minister on Thursday.
They are in close contact with Germany, the producer of the tanks, over this issue, Pal Jonson told state-run TT News Agency.
He said their main contribution to Ukraine’s efforts to defend itself was pledging to send 50 modern CV-90 armored combat vehicles, included in the latest installment of military aid.
Jonson also added that the country is preparing to send Ukraine the advanced Archer artillery systems.
