ISTANBUL (AA) - Switzerland is "willing" to use its good offices to push for peace in Ukraine, the Swiss president said on Thursday during a meeting with Ukraine's prime minister.
"President Karin Keller-Sutter took the opportunity to provide information on Switzerland's support for Ukraine and emphasized the country's willingness to use its good offices to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine based on international law, including the Charter of the United Nations," the government's statement read.
Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter hosted Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko in Bern, Switzerland's capital, where they discussed the peace process and Ukraine's reconstruction.
