ISTANBUL (AA) – The Syrian regime on Tuesday suspended work in state institutions for two days amid a fuel crisis in the war-torn country.
Prime Minister Hussein Arnous issued a notice suspending work on Dec. 11 and 18, state news agency SANA reported.
SANA, however, did not specify if the work suspension will continue for a longer period.
Civil servants in regime-held areas take Fridays and Saturdays as their weekly days-off.
A worsening fuel crisis has gripped regime-held areas in Syria in the past week.
