ISTANBUL (AA) - At least two people, including a top Taliban official, were killed in a suspected suicide blast in northeastern Afghanistan on Tuesday, Afghan broadcaster Tolo News said.
Mawlawi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, deputy governor of the Badakhshan province, was among those targeted in the city of Faizabad, the provincial capital, according to Moazuddin Ahmadi, an official in the information department.
Six others were also wounded in the blast.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
