Mevlut Cavusoglu to attend 1st meeting of Turkey-Moldova joint strategic planning group

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s foreign minister will head to Moldova on Wednesday for the first meeting of the joint strategic planning group of the two countries.

The meeting, part of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council mechanism, will be held on Aug. 26-27.

During the visit, Mevlut Cavusoglu will meet Moldova’s President Igor Dodon and Prime Minister Ion Chicu.

He is also scheduled to hold meetings with his counterpart Oleg Tulea and Irina Vlah, governor of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia.

Cavusoglu will also attend the inauguration of a Turkish consulate in Comrat, Gagauzia’s capital, and meet representatives of the Turkish business community in Moldova.
