Turkey: 50+ undocumented migrants held in west, south

Migrants include 28 Pakistanis trying to cross into Greece, 23 Syrians trying to enter Turkey without proper documents

EDIRNE/HATAY, Turkey (AA) - Over 50 undocumented migrants were held in Turkey's west and west on Thursday, according to security sources.

In the western province of Edirne, gendarmerie teams stopped a truck and found 28 Pakistanis trying to illegally cross into Greece.

The truck driver and his partner were remanded in custody.

In the southernmost province of Hatay, 23 Syrians were also held for illegally crossing into Turkey.
