Kazakhstan marks 29th anniversary of Independence Day

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay on Wednesday extended greetings to Kazakhstan on the 29th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day.

In a Twitter post, Oktay said: “I’m celebrating the Independence Day of friendly and brotherly country #Kazakhstan.”

“When the land of Kazakhs declared independence 29 years ago, Turkey was the first country to recognize it,” he said.

He added that the two countries will continue to strengthen their deep-rooted historical and cultural ties, and to advance their cooperation in all fields.
