ANKARA (AA) - Turkey has won gold at 2017 FIVB World U23 Women's Volleyball Championship after defeating Slovenia in the final on Sunday.
During the confrontation at Arena Stozice in the capital Ljubljana, the Turkish team won on sets with scores of 15-12, 15-11, 15-13, and 15-8, marking a final score of 4-0 against Slovenia.
Turkey took part in the tournaments in 2013 and 2015, respectively. Sunday's confrontation is first for Turkey to win a gold.
