ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey’s deputy foreign minister on Saturday shared a story about how the country cares for its citizens everywhere around the world.
A Turkish national, a kidney patient, ran out of medicines while working on a ship in the Indian Ocean and a special cargo plane was dispatched to deliver the drugs, Yavuz Selim Kiran narrated on Twitter.
“Even in the middle of the ocean, the name of hope is Turkey! Everywhere in the world, powerful Turkey!” he wrote.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Turkey provided medical aid to dozens of countries and brought back thousands of its citizens from around the world on special flights.
