ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey issued 672 investment incentive certificates in July which paved the way for 19,407 new jobs and investments worth 15 billion Turkish liras ($1.8 billion), the Turkish industry and technology minister said on Tuesday.
In a Twitter post, Mustafa Varank said that 76.8% of the investments were made in the manufacturing industry.
Other sectors in which the investments were made were services (12.4%), energy (4.2%), agriculture (3.7%), and mining (2.9%), according to the minister's post.
He also said that the number of investment incentive certificates during the first seven months of this year increased by 28.2% on a yearly basis.
