ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's state-run aid agency on Wednesday brought a vocational training center into service for women in Burkina Faso, a West African country.

Kamil Kolabas, an advisor to the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), said the project will contribute to women’s participation in the labor force.

The center will provide vocational courses for women on tailoring, weaving, fabric dyeing, soap-making and hairdressing.

An opening ceremony for the training center of Game Koamba Women Association saw the attendance of high-ranking officials from Burkina Faso.

The training center aims to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and participation of women in production.
