GAZIANTEP, Turkey (AA) - Turkish police seized 100.5 kilograms (221.5 pounds) of marijuana in an anti-narcotics operation in Turkey’s southeastern Gaziantep province, according to a statement by the provincial security directorate on Saturday.
Acting on a tip, an anti-narcotics police team stopped and searched a fuel truck on a highway in Gaziantep, the statement said.
Police search assisted with a sniffer dog revealed the smuggled drug in the truck.
Also, one suspect was arrested in the operation.
