ANKARA (AA) - Turkey on Friday issued arrest warrants for 161 people, including civil servants suspected of issuing fake identification documents and passports for "foreign terrorist fighters".
The documents were allegedly forged in order to allow non-Turkish citizens to enter the country illegally or had been flagged by counter-terrorist units.
After Istanbul prosecutors issued the warrants, police launched simultaneous Istanbul-based operation in 10 provinces across Turkey to find the suspects.
