ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's foreign minister met the Republic of Congo’s minister of international cooperation and public-private partnership promotion in the Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday.
Mevlut Cavusoglu and Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso discussed cooperation opportunities between Turkey and Congo, the top Turkish diplomat said on Twitter.
Separately, Cavusoglu telephoned Saifuddin Abdullah, Malaysia’s newly appointed foreign minister, to congratulate him, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
Abdullah said on Twitter that he and his “good friend” Cavusoglu “touched on various bilateral issues such as education, cyber security and post-COVID 19 cooperation between our two countries.”
“Malaysia and Turkey enjoy long-standing diplomatic and economic relations. Together both are fully committed to working closely for a stronger partnership at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels,” he said.
