Turkey rescues 73 irregular migrants in Aegean Sea

Irregular migrants pushed backed by Greek authorities

MUGLA/IZMIR/CANAKKALE, Turkey (AA) - Turkish coast guard units rescued 73 irregular migrants on Thursday after they were pushed back by Greek authorities in the Aegean Sea.

Forty migrants in Canakkale province, 25 in Datca, Mugla province and eight in Izmir were rescued off Turkey's Aegean coast, according to information obtained from authorities.

They were referred to the provincial migration office.
