VAN, Turkey (AA) – A suspect was arrested as over 150 kilograms of heroin were confiscated in Turkey’s eastern Van province on Wednesday.
The narcotics were found in a truck that was stopped for a search in Edremit district, according to the provincial security directorate.
A sniffer dog named Sila helped dig out 154.1 kilograms (nearly 400 pounds) of heroin in 300 packets, the authority said in a statement.
The truck driver was taken into custody, it added.
