ANKARA (AA) - Turkey strongly condemned Sunday a deadly terrorist attack in Burkina Faso.
“We are deeply saddened to receive the news that 14 people, 7 of whom were students, lost their lives and 19 people were injured in a terrorist attack on a students’ bus convoy in north-western Sourou Province of Burkina Faso on 4 January 2020,” Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a written statement.
“We strongly condemn this terrorist attack,” it added and conveyed condolences to the government and people of Burkina Faso.
It also wished fast recovery to the injured.
A bus transporting students to the city of Toma stepped on an explosive device Saturday morning in the Toeni area of northwestern Sourou province, killing 14 people.
