ISTANBUL (AA) - Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) offers a solution not only to Muslims' problems, but also to the global issues, OIC’s assistant secretary-general said on Wednesday.
"Conflict results from intolerance to differences," Hameed Opeloyeru told Anadolu Agency.
To find a solution and to take on the role of mediation, a second Member States Conference on Mediation will be held in Istanbul on Thursday, he said.
Pointing to conflict resolution and Boko Haram's terror in Nigeria, Opeloyeru said young people get involved in Boko Haram due to the lack of opportunities, deprivation of rights and lack of social support.
As a part of mediation in Nigeria, the way to get rid of extremism is to invest in young people, he added.
The first OIC member states conference on mediation was held in 2017.
