ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s current account balance for September is expected to post a deficit of $2.7 billion, according to an Anadolu Agency survey on Tuesday.

A group of 19 economists' estimates for the month ranged between $2.2 billion and $4.5 billion.

The Turkish Central Bank will release the balance of payments figures on Wednesday.

In August, the current account posted a $4.6 billion deficit, down from $3.3 billion surplus in the same month of 2019.

In addition to monthly forecasts, the survey showed the end-2019 current account balance is expected to show a deficit of $32.7 billion, with estimates ranging between $25 billion and $40 billion.
