ANKARA (AA) - A joint operation between Turkey and the U.S.-led coalition against Daesh killed 14 terrorists in Syria on Saturday, the Turkish military said.
Artillery and air strikes targeted Daesh sites after the Turkish military detected signs of imminent attacks on Turkey, the Turkish Armed Forces said in a statement. Among the Daesh targets destroyed were an armored vehicle, a rocket launcher and three buildings.
Since mid-January, Daesh have been targeting towns and cities in southern Turkey with indiscriminate rocket fire, resulting in tens of civilian deaths and scores more injured.
