ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended with gains on Wednesday to finish at 1,812.30 points – a new record high closing.
After starting the day at 1,808.67 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 27.74 points, or 1.55%, from Tuesday's close of 1,784.56 points.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,789.10 by market close, down from $1,796.80 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was almost unchanged at $82.28 per barrel as of 6.25 p.m. local time (1525GMT).
