ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the shortened transaction week at 1,522.04 points on Thursday, up 0.18% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 1,519.05 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 2.79 points from the previous close of 1,519.25 points.
The market closed midday on Thursday and will be closed on Friday as Turkey will observe National Republic Day on Oct. 29.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $82.7 per barrel as of 13.00 p.m. local time (1000GMT).
